Leading world experts, representatives of Russian nuclear industry and global companies will discuss issues of scientific interaction at the round-table discussion titled “The international scientific cooperation and front-end research infrastructure is the basis of innovative nuclear power development” which is organized by the Scientific Division of ROSATOM as part of the X International Forum ATOMEXPO 2018.
Presentations are to be made by Director-General of the Atomic Energy Agency of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD/NEA) William Magwood, Chairman of the FAIR Joint Scientific Council (Germany) Sibaji Raha, Head of Project Control Office at ITER Organization Hans-Henrich Alfred, Executive Vice President of the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) Yasushi Taguchi, Special Representative of ROSATOM for International, Science and Technology Projects Vyacheslav Pershukov, JHR CEA Project Manager Gilles Bignan, Manager of the OECD Halden Project Boris Volkov, First Deputy Director General of SRC RF IPPE Dmitry Klimov and others.
The participants will discuss formats of the international scientific cooperation and success affecting factors taking the ITER, FAIR, JHR, ICR MBIR projects as an example. Speakers are planned to present on their vision of approaches to the cooperation in development and use of the front-end research infrastructure.
The round-table discussion will take place on May 15 from 14:00 till 17:00 in the hall “Blue” of Main Media Center.
