On the 18th of July 2016 Deputy Director General of ROSATOM Nikolai Spasskiy had a meeting with Deputy Director General for Nuclear Safety and Security of the IAEA Juan Carlos Lentijo.
The meeting was also attended by Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the International Organizations in Vienna Vladimir Voronkov and Deputy Chairman of Rostechnadzor Alexey Ferapontov.
The parties discussed essential issues of the current agenda between Russia and the IAEA related to nuclear safety and security, including physical protection.
Juan Carlos Lentijo visits Russia together with the routine tour of the IAEA’s permanent representatives to Russian nuclear facilities (this year they are to visit the Urals Electrochemical Combine and Units 3 and 4 of Beloyarsk NPP).
