Round table “Non-energy use of nuclear technology” will take place on May 15, 2018 in Sochi within the X International Forum "ATOMEXPO-2018". This event is organized by the ROSATOM`s medical integrator JSC “Rusatom Healthcare" and JSC “Isotope”, the official supplier of isotope products manufactured by ROSATOM.
The round table will be held under the auspices of International Irradiation Association. The event will be moderated by Yves Henon, Deputy Director General of the International Irradiation Association (IIA). Representatives of various business segments whose activities are connected with the use of technologies for non-energy purposes are invited to participate in the discussion: nuclear power plant operators (Bruce Power, Canada), suppliers of gamma technologies (Nordion, Canada; STERIS, Germany), research institutes (VNIIRAE, Russia), industry associations (IIA, UK; Society of nuclear medicine, India), consulting agencies (Roland Berger, Germany). Welcome speech will be presented by Denis Cherednichenko, General Director of JSC «Rusatom Healthcare».
The key topic of the forthcoming roundtable is using nuclear technologies in solving urgent problems of sustainable development. It is expected that the speakers will pay special attention in their reports to the prospects of using nuclear technologies in agriculture and medicine, as well as to increase public acceptance in this area.
The round table will be held on May 15, from 14: 00 to 18: 00 in the hall "Gray" of the Main media center.
