On the 24th of July 2018 Vyacheslav Ruksha has been appointed the Deputy Director of ROSATOM and Director for the Northern Sea Route (NSR) Directorate of ROSATOM who previously had held the position of the Director General of FSUE Atomflot.

ROSATOM’s NSR Directorate headed by Ruksha will implement the state policy and NSR development strategy, interact with regions and local powers, manage development projects (including infrastructure), set targets and control achievement of the key performance indicators of enterprises, and implement state functions and services. The Directorate will manage the nuclear icebreaker fleet (FSUE Atomfot) and maintain the existing infrastructure.
Mustafa Kashka, the First Deputy Director General and Chief Engineer of the company, has been appointed acting Director General of FSUE Atomflot from July 24, 2018.

Vyacheslav V. Ruksha was born on February 17, 1954. He was graduated from the Admiral S. O. Makarov Leningrad Higher Engineering Naval School of the Order of the October Revolution in 1976. He held positions of an adviser of the president of JSC Russian Railways, head of the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency, first deputy minister of transport of the Russian Federation, and director general of JSC Murmansk Shipping Company. Since the establishing of the company in 2008 and its merger with ROSATOM, he has been the Director General of FSUE Atomflot.
