The design of the virtual digital NPP (VDNPP) developed by JSC VNIIAES (a subsidiary of JSC Rosenergoatom Concern) jointly with the Nuclear Safety Institute of RAS may be used in implementation of the sectoral project ‘Proryv’. Scientific Supervisor of the project Evgeniy Adamov said this after he had been demonstrated the capabilities of the virtual digital NPP. Adamov invited developers of the complex to the cooperation in his project ‘Proryv’ and noted the necessity to develop an integrated product for sale to interested customers, including foreign ones, using VDNPP as the basis.
Representatives of ROSATOM, who included Advisor to the Director General of ROSATOM Vladimir Asmolov, heads of the project ‘Proryv’ and representatives of related departments of ROSATOM showed interest in such capabilities of the virtual digital NPP as verification of the power unit design using the software package of different-level models which combines capabilities of the full-scale models of the power unit process systems, detailed full-scale models of the automated process control system (APCS), detailed CDF models of main process components of the power unit and precision models which are capable of calculating in the full range of the power unit operating modes.
