Vladivostok, September 3, 2021 - ROSATOM signed a cooperation agreement with the Government of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug in the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum.
The agreement was signed by Director General Alexey Likhachev on the part of ROSATOM and by the Governor-Prime Minister Roman Kopin on the part of the Government of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.

ROSATOM and the Government of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug intend to cooperate in strengthening the region's social and physical infrastructure, including in Bilibino and Pevek, the respective sites of Bilibino NPP and the Akademik Lomonosov floating nuclear power plant.
The agreement establishes the parties' willingness to consider undertaking joint projects to develop the Northern Sea Route, improve the quality of communication in the settlements of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, as well as to improve their energy supply and land and environmental management. This type of cooperation will make it possible to engage ROSATOM’s competencies and enterprises in the efficient implementation of investment projects and programmes of priority to the region in science, technology, innovation, and infrastructure development.
