On February 21, ROSATOM and the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation signed an agreement on carrying out the 1st International Industrial Engineering Construction Championship.
For ROSATOM the document was signed by Director General Alexey Likhachev, for Minstroy of Russia it was signed by Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation Vladimir Yakushev.
In his address Alexey Likhachev noted the importance of this agreement in terms of implementation of important strategic projects. He said: “We face shared objectives: the strengthening of the national economy, development of international cooperation, improvement of productivity of labor at enterprises. I am sure that the championship will become a tool for implementation of all these tasks and will become an impetus for introduction of front managerial solutions and technologies.” 
In turn, Vladimir Yakushev underlined the role of the project in development of building occupations in Russia. He said: “ROSATOM is our long-time partner; we have cooperated with it far from the first year. The corporation develops and implements without a problem new solutions in all sectoral areas. The industrial construction has a special place in the sector that requires involvement of a large number of professionals possessing unique competences. Therefore, special attention is paid to training of skills of specialists. This is a necessary step to achieving goals set by the President of Russia as part of implementation of the national projects.” 
The championship will be held using the organizational and methodological framework of the sectoral contest of ROSATOM “The Best in Profession in Nuclear Construction” (carried out since 2013). It is planned that up to 2 million workers representing over 1,000 building companies from more than 50 participating countries can take part in the championship.
