The Engineering Division of ROSATOM has started vaccination of employees at overseas construction sites against coronavirus infection. The first to receive a batch of Sputnik V medication were the employees of Rooppur NPP construction site (the People’s Republic of Bangladesh). A team of medical workers from Federal Medical and Biological Agency arrived in Bangladesh the day before for the vaccination campaign.

In total, vaccine for 1,000 persons was delivered to Rooppur NPP. On the first day, 800 employees of JSC ASE Branch Office and representatives of subsidiary construction companies (Trest RosSEM, NIKIMT-Atomstroy, Energospetsmontazh) applied for the vaccination.
“JSC ASE takes health support of its employees very seriously as it is an integral part of our safety culture. Considering the importance of Rooppur NPP construction project, we have become the first international project where ROSATOM arranged for the vaccination of employees against COVID-19. This is not only a sharp evidence of a socially conscious approach, but also the key to success in implementation of tasks set for the project”, said Alexey Deriy, JSC ASE Vice President - Director for Rooppur NPP Construction Project.
