VEB.RF (Vnesheconombank) and the ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation signed a cooperation agreement. The parties expressed their intention to cooperate in the implementation of the project on construction of a nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan. The ceremony was held during the 11th ATOMEXPO 2019 International Forum in Sochi Nuclear for better life.
The document was signed by Alexei Ternavsky Vice President of VEB.RF and Ilia Rebrov, Financial Director of ROSATOM.
The parties identified the following areas of cooperation: organization of financing and provision of guarantees and letters of credit for the project, as well as consulting on determining the optimal structure of project financing.
"The signing of the agreement will contribute to further strengthening of the strategic partnership between VEB.RF and ROSATOM in terms of supporting the implementation of its foreign projects in Central Asia," said Alexei Ternavsky.
"I am sure that implementation of the project within the framework of the signed agreement will contribute to the solution of global problems of the nuclear industry development and increase of energy security", - Ilia Rebrov noted.
