ROSATOM took part in the International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM. CENTRAL ASIA which was held on April, 22-24, in Tashkent.
This year ROSATOM presented integrated solutions for assurance of energy sovereignty in the Central Asian countries. Technologies enabling to ensure stability of the current energy system in the Central Asian countries with due regard for development of new projects were exhibited at the stand. Visitors of the exhibition were able to get familiarized with the technologies in the area of renewable energy sources, energy storage systems capable of carrying increased loads, the most advanced developments in the area of nuclear medicine, metal-composite cylinders that could be operated at the extreme temperatures of - 60 to +65 °С.
Taking into account the development dynamics of the RES projects in the region, the delegation of ROSATOM presented a detailed description of technologies in the area of wind power engineering (at present ROSATOM is implementing the project of a wind power station in Kyrgyzstan). Special attention was paid to hydro power engineering, in particular small-scale HPPs. Their peculiarity is that these plants can be operated efficiently in combination with traditional and nuclear energy sources, as well as with other RES types. The specialists of ROSATOM are ready to propose reference technologies for implementation of hydro power engineering facilities, including design, engineering and equipment supply around the world. The nearest plans include construction of the first small-scale hydro power plant with the capacity of 24 MW on the river of Dzheruy in Kyrgyzstan.
