Rusatom Overseas JSC will hold a roundtable on the topic of “Prospects for the Development of Above-Ground SNPP in Russia and Abroad” within 12th International Forum ATOMEXPO-2022, on November 22.
The roundtable will be attended by Kirill Bychkov, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia); Andrey Maksimov, Director of Electric Power Industry Development Department, Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation; Evgeny Fedoseev, Deputy Minister of Industry, Energy, Housing and Utilities of Krasnoyarsk Krai; Evgeny Pakermanov, President of Rusatom Overseas JSC; Evgeny Adamov, Director for Science of Breakthrough Project, etc. Oleg Zhdaneev, Deputy General Director, FSUE Russian Energy Agency, Ministry of Energy of Russia, will moderate the roundtable.
Within the round table, the panelists will discuss projects of small above-ground nuclear power plants (SNPP) being currently developed by the Russian nuclear industry, demonstrate the capabilities of SNPP power solutions based on RITM-200N reactor plant and Shelf-M reactor plant, and talk about the progress of the first above-ground SNPP construction project near Ust-Kuiga village of Ust-Yansk Ulus (District) of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Representatives of state authorities and regional ministries will talk about socio-economic effects for the regions, the development of new industries, the emergence of engineering and social infrastructure facilities, while leaders of companies and the business community will highlight prospects for using SNPP for the energy supply of major industrial enterprises and, through the example of Yakutsk SNPP project implementation, talk about the cluster development of deposits of solid minerals in the Russian Arctic.
